Overview of the project:

The task order requires the contractor to provide support and maintenance for Battle Control System – Tyndall (BCS-T), an Air Education Training Command AETC acquired and developed training system used to train Air Battle Managers (ABM).BCS-T is a Linux-based system of ~120 computers with connections to radars, radios, and high-fidelity simulators.

RCC is tasks with:

• Maintain system configuration (parts, software, and connections).
• Purchasing the necessary equipment to maintain and upgrade the hardware.
• Maintaining software licenses required for BCS-T's operation.
• Software Engineering required to address issues and develop functionality necessary to support a changing syllabus.
• Address hardware/and software obsolescence with requisite equipment evaluation and integration.
• Support the maintenance of Approval to Operate for BCS-T by implementing controls defined in Risk Management Frameworks (NIST SP
• Provide on-site user support for the operation of BCS-T.

Job Description:

Red Cedar Consultancy is looking for a self-motivated System Analyst with good communication skills, knowledge of the Linux OS, and a SECRET clearance to:

• Provide on-site support in an 8-hour shift that may range from 6am to 6pm with periods of the year requiring extending support through 10pm
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and log time spent doing so
• Address common problems with the system to include
• Correcting misconfigurations
• Restarting services or computers
• Coordinate with external agencies to help troubleshoot external connections
• Inspecting logs / Providing troubleshooting information to engineers
• Perform administrative tasks including:
• Management of system accounts
• Management of System Configuration
• Proper handling of Classified media
• Perform system backups
• Check system status to ensure readiness
• Apply patches to software to address security concerns
• Perform security scans and report status
• Manage the schedule of the other two System Analysts to ensure availability of support
• Manage and report status of various efforts being performed by the on-site team
