Welcome to the position of Prep Cook We are looking for an individual who is highly detail-oriented and organized, to join our team and provide the highest quality of food preparation. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, stocking kitchen areas, and helping to create delicious dishes that meet the standards of our team. Job Responsibilities

  • Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
  • Prepare ingredients for use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Wash, peel, and cut food items and store them in designated containers and storage areas to adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
  • Monitor food preparation, and ensure food is cooked and served in appropriate amounts of time.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines in food preparation, handling and storage.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers.
  • Place food trays over food warmers for immediate service, or store them in refrigerated storage cabinets.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders when there are insufficient supplies.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and understand recipes
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid kitchen environment
  • Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
