Production Supervisor

Job Overview
Superior Uniforms is seeking a Tailor Shop / Production Supervisor to lead our tailor shop and production departments. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, high-quality output, and timely order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a strong background in tailoring and garment production, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Shop / Production Supervisor will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work atmosphere while driving team performance.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the tailor shop and production departments.
• Schedule, train, and lead production staff to meet timelines and performance goals.
• Operate and maintain tailoring/production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels of materials and coordinate restocking.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all finished products meet Superior Uniforms standards.
• Prepare finished products for shipping, which may include packing, labeling and preparing necessary documentation
• Drive process improvements for productivity, quality, and workflow.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Utilize basic math skills for inventory tracking

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in tailoring, apparel manufacturing, or related field.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in tailoring techniques and garment construction.
• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with basic computer software (Microsoft Office; production tools).
• Background in fashion design or textile manufacturing is a plus.
• Basic math skills are required for effective inventory management and sales transactions.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced production floor.
• Regular standing and use of sewing equipment.
• Standard work hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts.
