About

Summary

The Epic Analyst will be responsible for implementing and supporting designated software applications in accordance with IBJI standards and procedures. This position will work with other analysts to drive strategic process improvement, manage complex projects and solve difficult problems. This position will also work closely with end users, senior leadership and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain assigned services and systems
  • Works with team to monitor, analyze and plan upgrades
  • Monitors the patient issue queue and resolves issues
  • Analyzes and provides recommendations relating to application build and functionality of systems
  • Build and support implementation of: Questionnaires,Direct Scheduling, Open Scheduling, Ticket Scheduling, etc
  • Support analysts in build for Welcome and On My Way
  • Adheres to and enhances quality assurance standards, systems development and delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrates diagnostic skills and expertise to assist with problem determination and solutions
  • Assists with projects in the planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of application software code
  • Focuses on EPIC team success and promotes collaborative efforts with others
  • Responds thoroughly and promptly to patient and end user needs and follows those issues through to closure

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Healthcare field with related training. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
  • Epic Certification in Mychart (Required)
  • Experience with process improvements
  • Experience working in an healthcare ambulatory setting desirable
  • Experience implementing industry best practices to drive optimized operations
  • Excellent proven analytical skills
  • Strong technical command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft office suite, departmental applications)
  • Comfortable speaking in larger groups on workflow details
