Position Summary:
The Pharmacist coordinates and delivers comprehensive pharmaceutical care with a strong patient-centered focus. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, this role manages drug therapy protocols, reviews and verifies medication orders, and identifies or resolves actual and potential drug-related issues. The Pharmacist provides medication education to clinicians, patients, and students, documents interventions to support quality improvement, and ensures accurate handling of controlled substances. Success in this position requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including varied shifts based on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- License/Certification: Valid Pharmacy license from the state
- Experience: One to two years as a licensed pharmacist with enhanced clinical responsibilities
- Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
