Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. As an Estimating/Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process for commercial construction projects. This is a key role within our organization, requiring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction estimating principles.
Duties:
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope and requirements
Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
Utilize industry-standard software such as On-Screen Take-off & Quickbid to create detailed estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
Analyze historical data and industry trends to improve estimating accuracy
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating
Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and practices
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
