POSITION OVERVIEW: Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of project management activities with a focus on healthcare activation, licensing, and operational readiness to meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule. This role spans the lifecycle of a project, from initial planning through closeout and operational start-up. Responsibilities include supporting healthcare-specific regulatory and accreditation processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing the following services:

  1. Acts as a key contact and liaison for the owner and principal partners, focusing on healthcare activation, licensing, and operational readiness deliverables.

  2. Assists in developing and managing project-specific procedures, documentation, and workflows.

  3. Collects, maintains, and coordinates project data, approvals, and communications.

  4. Represents the owner, project team, and associated parties in public forums, stakeholder meetings, and regulatory reviews.

  5. Assists in the management of project controls, costs, performance activities, logistics, and project closeout, ensuring alignment with healthcare operational readiness goals.

  6. Coordinates activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific regulations.

  7. Assists with certification and accreditation processes, including preparation for surveys and regulatory agency reviews.

  8. Performs other duties related to healthcare operational readiness and project management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent is preferred.

  2. 1+ years of experience in construction in the healthcare sector is required.

  3. 1+ years of experience working in California on Hospital (OSHPD) construction projects is preferred.

  4. Experience with design phase in the healthcare sector is preferred.

  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  7. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.

  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  3. Must be customer service oriented.

  4. Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.

  5. Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.

  6. Ability to understand and follow directions as given.

  7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay: $70, $90,000.00 per year
