Multi-Spindle Machine Operator

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Operate multiple spindle lathe type machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple spindle lathe type machines to perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, reaming, threading, and related machining operations.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while meeting quality and production standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tooling instructions to ensure proper setup and machine operation.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and make necessary machine adjustments.
• Position and secure specified collets, bushings, and bar stock pushers onto stock feeding mechanism and loads bar stock into feeding mechanism.
• Replace worn tools.
• Maintain tooling, replace worn components, and perform regular equipment lubrication and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training.
• Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert to decimals, read measuring instruments).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, gauges, and measurement tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs. regularly

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
