Hadoop Developer

Job Location:
Chicago, IL or Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite & 2 days remote)

equired Skills:

• Hadoop Admin Experience
  (5+ years)
• Platform Operations & Cluster Management:
  Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Client-Facing Support:
  BAU (business-as-usual) support, cross-team collaboration.
• Unix/SQL/Scripting Fundamentals

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Big Data Technologies:
  Spark, Kafka, Impala, HBase, Hive, and Docker
• Automation Tools:
  Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
• Programming Languages:
  Python, Java, Shell, Perl
• Data Science Platforms & Tools:
  DataRobot, C3, Talend, Trifacta, ELK, etc.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Manage Platform Operations:
  Upgrades, deployments, bug fixes, monitoring (Hadoop, Cloudera, etc.)
• Incident/Problem/Capacity Management
• Collaborate with Clients and Teams
  to deliver solutions
• Participate in Weekend Rotations
  every 5 weeks for on-call support (eligible for overtime)
