Head of Process Engineering

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers and technicians, managing workloads and monitoring performance to meet operational goals.

Develop and implement operational and production strategies, and oversee daily plant operations, including pre-treatment, Reverse Osmosis (RO), and post-treatment processes.

Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing energy and chemical consumption.

Implement continuous improvement projects to resolve complex engineering challenges.

Monitor performance of critical equipment (membranes, pumps, filters, etc.) and recommend modifications to enhance performance and extend asset life.

Ensure compliance with water quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain SOPs, and oversee the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies.

Coordinate with the maintenance department to establish preventive and predictive maintenance plans, participate in scheduled shutdowns, and troubleshoot complex operational issues while providing technical support to maintenance teams.

Prepare and present regular technical performance reports to senior management.

Provide technical input for new projects and plant expansions, including reviewing engineering designs (PFDs, P&IDs).

Stay updated on the latest water desalination technologies and trends.

Requirements:

Leadership skills.

Experience in plant operations and equipment management.

Strong expertise in water treatment processes.

Experience in plant operations and equipment management.

Proficiency in analyzing operational KPIs and using process optimization tools.

Strong understanding of RO desalination technologies and plant performance parameters.

Ability to manage troubleshooting activities and provide technical guidance under pressure.
