GNR has been retained to identify a
GM / PLANT MANAGER
for a publicly traded
UAS/Drone manufacturer
. We are seeking a
"hands-on" OPERATIONS leader
to scale up this new facility from scratch and is a collaborative leader to navigate start-up challenges and the acquisition of other companies' & products.
The organization is consolidating sites and acquiring other businesses so you'll be responsible for
establishing best practices & policies
and bringing the site online for production. They have an international presence and is known as a leading
manufacturer of advanced drones & aerial imaging solutions
for commercial and defense applications.
Reporting to the COO, you'll
build and manage a team
to ensure safety and achieve production schedules to meet customer demands.
- You will
own a growing P&L
(approx. $10m+ today) and
manage site operations, quality, procurement, some engineering resources, production, EH&S and testing requirements.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Business Acumen with strong Operations
– Production – Manufacturing experiences with assembly of technology, electro-mechanical components, electronics etc… - Capture KPIs
and utilize lean tools to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization - Ensure that the site meets or exceeds established metrics and customer expectations for delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with leadership team on forecasting
future needs, inventory management, production schedules, and head off supply chain challenges - Define and implement best practices, procedures & policies for safe, smooth, and efficient operations
- Lead the development of a site quality system &
ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100, FAA, OSHA & DOT compliance - Degree w/ 8+ years in operations / engineering leadership experience
- Strong communications skills, building, leading & mentoring team members, Executive team and interacting with customers and suppliers worldwide.
- Travel both Domestic & International
- US / Perm Resident
