Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our dedicated logistics team. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and speed of order fulfillment. You will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from our warehouse inventory according to customer orders, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret order pick lists or use RF scanners to identify items to be picked.
- Accurately retrieve designated items and quantities from warehouse shelves.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before proceeding.
- Stage picked items in the correct area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the required use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to team efforts to achieve daily picking targets and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
- Must be capable of consistent lifting, up to 45 lbs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong commitment to safety regulations and the appropriate use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
