We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our logistics operations run seamlessly. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, tracking stock levels, and identifying discrepancies. Your attention to detail will be key to optimizing our warehouse efficiency and reducing losses. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a critical function within our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure items are accurately logged and stored.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items, including the use of appropriate PPE when necessary.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures within a logistics environment.
