Join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. as an Order Picker! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders from our warehouse shelves. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the correct items are selected, prepared for packing, and staged for shipment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our Logistics department. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. This role involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and Lifting. We strictly enforce all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE. - Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists and RF scanner instructions.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks to move merchandise.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Utilize and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Report any stock issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Meet daily picking targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to read and interpret order lists and RF scanner displays.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
