Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in Austin, Texas. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying packing slips against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately entering received items into our warehouse management system (WMS). Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. This position requires physical stamina and adherence to all safety protocols. Your role directly impacts our ability to fulfill orders accurately and on time. We emphasize a strong safety culture, and all team members are expected to utilize appropriate PPE and follow established safety procedures to prevent injuries and ensure a secure working environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
  • Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and stage incoming goods for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Basic computer skills.
