Exciting opportunity for skilled Forklift Operators at our Orlando, Florida distribution center. We are looking for individuals who possess exceptional operational skills and a strong commitment to safety. As a Forklift Operator, you will be entrusted with the critical task of moving, storing, and retrieving materials throughout our warehouse. Your proficiency with various forklift types will ensure the efficient handling of inventory and support the seamless functioning of our logistics operations. This role is fundamental to maintaining high productivity and ensuring the integrity of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, order picker).
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments with precision.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for timely dispatch.
- Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of inventory movements and locations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow.
- Keep the workspace clean, orderly, and free from hazards.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Current forklift certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following logistics best practices.
