Seeking a motivated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Portland, Oregon! In this fast-paced role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves and carefully packing them for shipment. A keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety are essential. This position is key to our logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using an RF scanner or pick list.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order accuracy against the pick list and shipping documentation.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to team goals and support overall logistics efficiency.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts in a busy logistics environment.
