Our growing logistics center in Phoenix, Arizona, is looking for a sharp and organized Inventory Control Specialist. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. You will play a key part in optimizing our warehouse operations and ensuring efficient stock rotation. The ideal candidate possesses excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics setting. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and data analysis tools is highly valued. We are committed to workplace safety and will provide all necessary PPE. This position requires accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure inventory data is precise and up-to-date. The role may involve some physical activity, including lifting and moving stock, so familiarity with proper lifting techniques is important. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with the training of staff on inventory-related procedures.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse efficiency through accurate inventory management.
