We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Miami, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the distribution center. Your duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage locations, and assist with order picking and stocking processes. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring smooth material flow and timely processing of goods. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all operational procedures and regulations. We require certified and experienced operators who are reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a demanding environment. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming inventory.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in inventory management and cycle counting as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment gauges and production schedules.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Physically capable of performing tasks related to forklift operation, including getting on and off the equipment.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ), such as safety shoes and vests.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
