You will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement of materials throughout the warehouse, utilizing various equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the warehouse and distribution center.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment immediately.
- Accurately sort, count, and stack materials as required.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counting and stock verification.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse and logistics standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting with various warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and other heavy machinery.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
