We are looking for dedicated Distribution Center Associates to join our dynamic team in Tampa, Florida. This role is essential for the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub, involving a variety of tasks to ensure timely processing and dispatch of goods. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against documentation.
- Sort and organize merchandise and materials according to established procedures.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts (certification required or training provided), and other machinery.
- Load finished shipments onto trucks for delivery, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, strictly adhering to all safety regulations.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory and orders.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure personal safety.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and receiving.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Willingness to operate various types of warehouse equipment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance goals.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
