Join our dedicated team as a Warehouse Worker in Columbus, Ohio! We are looking for motivated individuals to contribute to the efficient operation of our distribution center. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks critical to the logistics process, including order picking, packing, sorting, and loading/unloading shipments. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be expected to operate various warehouse equipment (if certified), meticulously pick and pack orders according to customer specifications, and ensure the timely and accurate staging of outgoing goods. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment is essential, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Successful candidates will be comfortable with lifting moderately heavy items and performing repetitive tasks. This position offers a stable work environment and the opportunity to grow within our expanding logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Sort and place received goods into designated storage areas.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (training provided for other equipment if certified).
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse work areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Contribute to team goals and assist colleagues as needed.
- Follow all instructions provided by warehouse supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
