About
We are looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our efficient warehouse operations in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and prepared for timely shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating specific items within the warehouse, collecting them according to order lists, and then carefully packaging them for dispatch. You'll need a keen eye for detail to minimize errors and a good sense of pace to meet productivity targets. This position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and performing moderate lifting throughout your shift. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; you will be required to adhere to all company safety policies and utilize the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order slips or digital pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, protecting them from damage.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Support team members and contribute to overall warehouse efficiency in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and perform frequent lifting (up to 30-40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding and adherence to workplace safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
