About
Join our San Jose, California logistics team as a Material Handler. This role is vital for ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will operate various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and transport inventory. Your responsibilities will include accurately staging materials, assisting with inventory control, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet operational demands and ensure the smooth functioning of our logistics network. We emphasize strict adherence to all PPE requirements and comprehensive Safety training. This position requires physical stamina, including frequent Lifting and the operation of machinery. Familiarity with warehouse Logistics and inventory systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory tracking and cycle counts.
- Ensure the workplace is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
