About
Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location is seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting and processing all incoming shipments. Your duties will include verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly storing received items. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining accurate inventory records. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our warehouse inventory is up-to-date and that all incoming goods are handled efficiently and safely. We uphold strict safety standards, requiring the use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all Safety protocols. This role involves moderate physical activity, including some Lifting and the operation of pallet jacks. A basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify received goods against invoices and purchase orders.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
- Organize and store received inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Previous experience as a receiving clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
