About
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Miami, Florida facility. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring that we have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to minimize stockouts and overages. Your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and performing root cause analysis.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
- Track the movement of inventory, including receipts, put-aways, picks, and shipments.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as receiving, shipping, and operations, to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and discrepancies.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items, including adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of PPE.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant lifting and moving of inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehousing best practices and safety regulations.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and use of PPE.
