Willowcrest is a private preschool and elementary school program dedicated to the early education of neurodivergent children. We specialize in a holistic, individualized academic approach that integrates therapeutic services—including speech, occupational, music, and behavioral therapy—within the classroom setting. At Willowcrest, we prioritize human relationships as a foundation for development. Small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios (1:1 to 3:1) allow us to maximize growth in language, communication, emotional regulation, and cognition. Our collaborative team of educators and therapists work together to provide consistent, child-centered support throughout the day.
We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team. This position is ideal for someone who values progressive education, a holistic approach, and meaningful work supporting neurodivergent children. You will provide individualized services for students with a variety of communication challenges, participate in collaborative planning with teachers and therapists, and help generalize language strategies across classroom and therapy environments.
*Key Responsibilities*
-Conduct evaluations and deliver speech-language therapy for children with a range of communication disorders, including but not limited to: apraxia, ASD, aphasia, language delays, auditory processing issues, and oral-motor dysfunction.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Write detailed evaluation reports and maintain accurate records of progress and services.
- Provide ongoing education and communication strategies to families and caregivers.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other therapists to support communication goals -throughout the day.
- Support and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and school-based planning sessions.-Skills and Attributes
- Skilled in small group therapy
*Requirements / Qualifications*
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.
* California State License in SLP (or RPE for Clinical Fellows).
* ASHA CCC required (strong CFs will be considered and supported).
* At least 3 years of experience in a pediatric or school setting preferred.
* AAC experience (minimum 1 year) required.
* Knowledge of Gestalt language processing a plus.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Patience, flexibility, and a deep commitment to working with neurodivergent learners
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour
