*Position Summary*
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Key Responsibilities
* Handle inpatient and outpatient care, collaborating closely with veterinarians.
* Assist in exam rooms with tasks such as:
* Taking patient history and vital signs.
* Confirming weight and reviewing vaccine needs.
* Preparing vaccines, collecting samples, and running diagnostic tests.
* Providing client education and assisting with animal restraint.
* Conduct independent appointments for procedures including:
* Pedicures, suture removals, and certain vaccine administrations.
* Bloodwork or other lab sample monitoring.
* Surgery admissions/discharges and general patient care.
* Complete daily checklists and assigned responsibilities.
* Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians:
* In person, by phone, and for ongoing and follow-up care.
* Provide updates on patient monitoring.
* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor:
* Wear professional attire, including a name tag.
* Ensure a groomed appearance and exhibit excellent communication skills.
