Job Title: Solutions Architect

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite- 4 days per week)

Duration: Fulltime

Non-Negotiables/Must Haves

AWS Architecture Expertise (Top Priority)

• (Mid to senior level) Strong hands-on experience designing architectures on AWS (patterns, cost, scalability, security, governance).
• Ability to evaluate AWS services and guide stakeholders in best practices.
• Experience delivering AWS-based solutions in regulated or enterprise environments.
• AWS certifications strongly preferred.

Architecture Mindset (Not Just Software Design)

• Proven ability to think and operate as a Solution Architect—long-term patterns, trade-off decisions, standards alignment.
• Ability to articulate the difference between architecture and software design.
• Skilled in creating system diagrams, conceptual/logical architectures, and integration flows.

Consulting & Advisory Experience

• 7+ years in consulting or client-facing advisory roles.
• Ability to coach BSAs and delivery teams.
• Operates well with ambiguity and drives structured decision-making.

Business Partnering & Communication

• Exceptional communication skills—able to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Strong ability to partner with business leaders, understand operational challenges, and frame solutions.
• Influential, consultative, and comfortable leading discovery and architecture discussions.

Onsite Requirement

• Must work onsite in Chicago 4 days per week (Mon–Thu).
• Professional presence for executive and stakeholder engagement.

Python/R Technical Breadth

• Experience supporting or working with Python/R analytics or data workflows.
• Understanding of how these ecosystems integrate with enterprise systems and cloud environments.

Industry Knowledge

• Banking or fintech experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with regulated environments, compliance, and governance.

Team Fit

• Able to work within a small architecture team (1 leader + 4 architects).
• Highly self-directed with strong collaboration and mentoring skills.

Good to Have

• Microsoft .NET experience (legacy or interoperability).
• AWS Architect or TOGAF certification.
• Experience with event-driven architecture or domain-driven design.
• Experience coaching junior architects or BSAs.
• Exposure to fintech innovation or data-driven product teams.
