About The Role
At American Express Global Dining, we are tackling hard problems with elegant solutions and scaling very quickly. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in taking our product and engineering team to the next level. We are seeking ambitious builders who are eager to launch exciting features for our restaurant partners and diners. The ideal candidates elevate the teams around them by providing technical mentorship, setting their team's technical vision, and adapting their role to address gaps and reduce risk. You have the toolkit to work on complex and unknown problems under pressure or at speed. You thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment, you are a collaborator and an innovator, and you are excited about what technology is doing for the hospitality industry.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
- 3+ years of experience working as a Software Engineering Staff Engineer / Architect
- You are a self-starter but very comfortable working closely with a team
- You are comfortable working with stakeholders outside the Engineering team including our Compliance, Information Security, Product, Design, Sales and
