Job Overview
The Valet Attendant at Hatley Pointe is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and welcoming parking services for resort guests. This role is often a guest's first and last interaction with the resort and plays a key role in delivering a positive guest experience while ensuring vehicle safety and smooth traffic flow in all weather conditions.
Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner upon arrival and departure.
- Safely operate and park guest vehicles in accordance with Hatley Pointe valet procedures.
- Retrieve vehicles promptly and efficiently upon guest request.
- Inspect vehicles for existing damage and report concerns to a supervisor prior to parking.
- Follow all valet safety standards and driving protocols at all times.
- Immediately report any accidents, vehicle damage, or incidents and follow Hatley Pointe incident procedures.
- Assist with directing traffic and maintaining organized parking flow during peak periods.
- Perform snow and ice removal duties, including shoveling and salting valet lanes, walkways, and guest access areas as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of valet and parking areas by picking up trash and debris.
- Provide basic resort information and directions to guests as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, wet, and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (cones, shovels, equipment).
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and peak ski season hours.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Minimum age requirement per insurance guidelines (typically 18 or 21).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to remain professional in fast-paced and high-traffic environments.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
