Join us as our new Production Operator for Weekends
This position works under close supervision and is primarily responsible for operating in the Blending Department.

The Weekend Shift
Friday-Sunday
from
5:00am-5:00pm
daily.

Salary: Starting at
$19/hr
. based on experience + shift premium
$3.00/hr.
In This Role You'll Make An Impact By

  • Setting up (assembles and disassembles), operating, adjusting, cleaning and sanitizing equipment to produce products within quality standards and according to procedures.
  • Performing minimal maintenance and preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment as required, and when appropriate.
  • Assisting others in the areas trained as required by production demands or by direction of the Supervisor.
  • Assisting in developing and improving SOPs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Participating in safety training and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
  • Working closely with other operators, technicians, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities using Lean concepts and principles.
  • Troubleshooting and/or identifying equipment failures or problems.
  • Adhering to Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) requirements when working in environments with airborne contaminants or hazardous materials.
  • Maintaining required PAPR certification and ensure proper care and usage of all personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Taking necessary samples for QC testing as needed..
  • Adhering to all GMP, including sanitary requirements, Safety, and Standardized Work procedures.
  • Adhering to guidelines as set forth by religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal).

To Succeed You Must Hold

  • High School Diploma or GED with experience in a production environment preferred and ability to speak/write English
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process
  • Ability to read and follow a production journal to produce batches.
  • Ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift, preferred.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process.
  • Basic computer skills. ERP system knowledge (SAP), preferred.
