Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or damage. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is a plus, along with certifications such as CPR and First Aid. We will Train all individuals for the New Jersey State S.O.R.A License and C.P.R. / A.E.D. we also train those who wish to advance as an Armed Guard. Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance equipment including CCTV to detect suspicious activities or security breaches
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
• Respond swiftly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies
• Enforce property rules and regulations to prevent unauthorized access or activities
• Assist visitors and staff with inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor
• Document incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
• Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets and inventory
• Provide first aid or CPR if required until professional medical assistance arrives
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations

Skills

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm systems
• Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or high-stress situations
• First Aid and CPR certification are highly desirable
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to protocols
