After-School Instructor Wanted – Elementary Grades

Part-Time | Buena Park / Fullerton Area

We are a professional after-school program serving elementary students (Grades K–6), and we are currently looking for a caring, responsible, and experienced After-School Instructor to join our team.

HOURS

• Must be able to work 4 or 5 days
• Mon-Fri 2:00pm - 6:00pm, Wed 1:00pm - 6:00pm
• Able to work full-time during the summer/winter camp

Who We're Looking For

• Someone who enjoys working with Kindergarten through 6th grade students
• Comfortable teaching English and/or Math (either subject is welcome)
• Punctual, organized, and knowledgeable in elementary-level content
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing small groups with confidence
• Passionate about education and child development
• Strong classroom presence with a warm and engaging personality

Qualifications

• teaching or tutoring experience (classroom, academy, or after-school program)
• Able to prepare or follow curriculum-based lessons
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Reliable, proactive, and genuinely cares for children

Job Responsibilities

• • Must be able to pick up children from their school (mileage paid)
• • Correct all homework for mistakes and review with students
• • Make sure students understand all the lessons covered in the homework assignments
• • Help students prepare for weekly tests and quizzes
• • Help projects and writing assignments
• • Teach English & Math materials
• • Encourage strong study habits and academic responsibility
• • Work closely with students to help them achieve their goals
• • great at monitoring children and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Compensation

• Hourly rate will be discussed during the interview, based on experience and qualifications
