Commercial Construction Carpenter

CBA Construction is pleased to offer a full time Construction Laborer / Carpenter position as we continue to see growth in the industry

The Construction Laborer / Carpenter position works under on-site leadership, and in conjunction with subcontractors on various projects throughout Colorado and neighboring states.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment via sweeping, cleaning, clearing debris, and maintaining containment. Areas to include inside and outside work areas, conexs, fenced yards, etc.

· Maintain company equipment for proper function, cleanliness, and safe use.

· Comply with all OSHA requirements concerning safe handling of materials, use of fall protection, on site hazard avoidance, and PPE.

· Labor including but not limited to:

o Material mobilization and staging

o Basic metal and wood framing

o Basic wall covering installation (gypsum, backerboard, wood sheet goods)

o Concrete form construction for footers, curbs, small pads.

o Basic concrete pour and finishing

o Finish carpentry, trim, base, case, cabinetry, wainscotting, FRP

o Demo of existing finishes

· Proper use of layout tools including tape measures, lasers, squares, string lines

· Take direction from site Foreman, Superintendents, third party safety consultants, and Project Managers

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Knowledge of common construction techniques and practices

· Ability to assist on-site management in reading and interpreting project plans for layout and direction

· Strong desire to work in a team environment with varying personalities and perspectives

· Ability to effectively communicate with team members, managers, and subcontractors

· Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.

· Ability to work at heights up to 26' utilizing lift equipment

· Proficient in safe working practices

· Have a personal set of tools including but not limited to hammers, driver / drill combo, pliers, screw drivers, pry bars, bags, levels, etc.

· Reliable transportation to and from the job sites

· Ability to travel within Colorado and occasionally to neighboring states

· Ability to work Days / Nights / Occasional weekends as needed

· 2 weeks Paid Time Off per year

· Salary : $28-34 plus bonus depending on experience

· Night work pay differential

· Per diem for out of town work
