Sr Data Migration Engineer

One of our clients is seeking a Senior Data Migration Engineer (SQL / AWS / NoSQL) for a remote, fixed-term SQL migration project. In this role, you will migrate data from MongoDB and MySQL to PostgreSQL using AWS DMS and custom scripts. The ideal candidate has strong experience with complex SQL, AWS services, NoSQL, and scripting in NodeJS or Python. This project requires deep technical expertise, excellent debugging skills, and hands-on experience with data validation and cloud-based migration pipelines.

Experience Level / Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in writing complicated SQL queries and programming languages such as NodeJS.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS.
• Proven experience in designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
• 7 years of professional experience in developing scalable, distributed applications.

Responsibilities:

• Migrate data from MongoDB to PostgreSQL
• Migrate data from MySQL to PostgreSQL
• The primary duty is to develop SQL queries
• Develop test scripts to validate data migration, using languages like NodeJS, Python, etc.
