Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route management, and efficient handling of deliveries using commercial vehicles such as box trucks. Previous delivery driver experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly valued.

Duties

• Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers and clients across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques
• Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and professionally
• Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and preparing shipments for delivery
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning of the delivery vehicle
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip
• Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading goods, sometimes requiring manual transmission driving skills

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred, especially with route driving in urban or suburban areas
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission capabilities
• Warehouse experience including the use of forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Proven ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
• Familiarity with driving safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
• Previous experience in heavy lifting, moving inventory, or working in warehouse environments is advantageous
