Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction plumbing, mechanical systems, and related trades. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. You will work on-site using a wide range of tools and techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship and strict adherence to safety standards. Experience in blueprint reading, schematics, HVAC systems, and remodeling work is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques for installations and repairs
- Safely perform heavy lifting of pipes, fixtures, and equipment
- Conduct remodeling tasks involving plumbing systems, basic carpentry, and assembly work
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to plumbing and HVAC systems
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry and OSHA standards
- Assist with site preparation, demolition, and modifications during remodeling projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and project updates
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, site work, or remodeling projects
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and schematic interpretation
- Mechanical aptitude related to plumbing systems and HVAC components
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Basic math skills for measurements and installation calculations
- Experience in carpentry or general maintenance is a plus
- Valid commercial driver's license (preferred) for transportation between job sites
- Familiarity with construction sites, remodeling, or assembly projects
