Position's Contributions to Work Group

Manage project teams comprised of digital resources, marketing resources, business resources, and others tasked with developing and maintaining marketing & digital solutions used by dealers, customers, and internally. Facilitate program and project workshops, plan development and compression sessions, plan control meetings, and other project meetings independently. Serve as process owner and coach within Scrum framework. Understand and adhere to divisional and corporate governance processes. Provide leadership and mentor less experienced Digital Project Managers.

Typical Day

Significant challenges of this position include working with people, enhancing the team's creativity, facilitating the team's cooperation, clearly communicating the requirements and tasks while gaining input from the team on refinement of same, translating both verbal and non-verbal information from the customer to management and team members. The Project/Program Manager IT 4 acts as a spokesperson for the team in meetings, with multiple levels of management, and with the customer. He or she must develop strong internal networks to enable them to obtain resources and cooperation needed, and if necessary, remove roadblocks so they can ensure the success of their project team. Typical Duties include:

• Support Product Owners and Scrum Masters by serving as process owner and coach within framework.
• Develop and produce project management schedules. Use professional project management tools and techniques to manage reporting, tracking charts, checklist, and project scheduling software and to delegate appropriately. Manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.
• Manage schedules that reflect detailed information related to the changes, including effected components and functions, timelines for various stages of project completion, cost, etc.
• Leverage Azure DevOps to proactively manage development programs and provide project insights.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Work with the individual team members from multiple functional disciplines and customers.
• Depending on nature of problems, expected to recommend possible solutions and alternatives.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Caterpillar Inc.; its products and services; its internal systems, processes, and procedures; and its relevant external influences (competitors, laws and regulations, market conditions, etc.) to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Serve as the principal communicator with clients and internal stakeholders regarding project status.
• Position prefers local to Peoria candidates for hybrid work model. 100% remote candidates ok, please note preference at top of resume.

Education Requirements:

The position typically requires a college or university degree or certification that is equivalent or 10+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience.

Technical Skills

• 4+ years exp with Agile Methodology (Required)
• Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (1+ years exp)
• PMP certification preferred (Desired)
• Knowledge of Power BI is desirable
• Change Management Certification preferred
• Exp as or working with Scrum Master/Product Owner

• Proactive, able to push processes forward
• Exp working with cross-functional teams.
