What We Need:

We are looking for a Technical Resource Specialist to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team supporting the Allsteel/Gunlocke brands. This is a remote position; however, travel is required within the assigned region.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide interior designer expertise supporting the regional sales team's strategic sales activities relating to product applications.
  • Contribute to sales efforts by leveraging Workplace Strategist work into product solution concepts for customers.
  • Be ready to discuss business issues and insights during client-facing situations.
  • Direct design team on translation of key concerns into product applications.
  • Demonstrate experience as interior designer who can make an impact on the customer experience and product selection process.
  • Provide unique design applications and collaborative workplace experiences that will differentiate.
  • Understand and drive the specification and application of differentiating Allsteel (+Gunlocke and Partner brands) systems, storage, tables, seating and ancillary products.
  • Communicate complete knowledge of all product lines.
  • Work closely with Technical Applications team to drive the specification and application of differentiating Allsteel (+Gunlocke and Partner brands) systems, storage, tables, seating and ancillary products.
  • Work closely with Tailored Products Group to translate client needs into real solutions utilizing product modifications when necessary.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design; similar field or equal work experience.
  • 1-2 years minimum experience in space planning, architectural product specification, and project management is preferred.
  • CET, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Cap, and 2020 Worksheet experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • NCIDQ and/or LEED certifications are preferred.
