Job Description And Duties
Under general direction, this position serves as the Performance Management Manager and provides services to the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the Office of the Secretary, and the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA). This incumbent supervises and directs a team of professional staff in addressing all areas of personnel management and progressive discipline. The incumbent works in partnership with Legal counsel, Equal Employment Opportunity officer, Health and Safety officer, and department leaders to ensure consistent and appropriate application of disciplinary resolutions to employee problems. The incumbent also works in partnership with the Human Resources Branch (HRB) management team on matters of mutual concern and to enhance HRB processes and service programs.
