Essential functions and Job duties include but not limited to… A small business in Kalamazoo is looking for a Warehouse Associate to facilitate day-to-day shipping and inventory management operations. The successful candidate will assemble inventory; pick, pack and ship both domestic and international using a variety of freight carriers; and help with inventory controls to include regular physical inventory counts. Minimum 2 years warehouse experience. Candidate needs strong communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, be reliable and meet all deadlines. Familiarity with Acumatica or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) cloud system, aviation knowledge a plus. Competitive pay, 401K and excellent benefits provided.
* Products Being Handled: Books & supplies
* Equipment: Powered Industrial Equipment, such as Stand-up and Sit-Down Forklifts, High Reach, Pallet Jacks, Etc.
Specific tasks will include but are not limited to:
* Maintain regular business hours (M-F, 8:00-4:30, 40-hours/week)
* Pick-Pack-Ship: small package, freight orders, domestic and international
* Interact with domestic and international carriers and freight forwarders
* Participate in regular physical inventory counts, inventory control and management systems
* Operate a forklift
* Heavy lifting involved; regular movement of 40-60 pound boxes
* General, light cleaning
* Test pilot supplies
* Support ASA staff inquiries around existing or planned orders and shipments
* Participate in regular company meetings
* Contribute suggestions for continued operational improvements

* Good organization and communication skills with solid attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively with staff

* Attend all meetings as directed
