Seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California. This position is essential for ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, directly impacting customer satisfaction. As an Order Picker, you will navigate our warehouse efficiently, selecting the correct items from inventory for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from designated warehouse locations based on pick lists or RF scanner data.
- Verify the identity and quantity of picked items against order requirements.
- Transport picked items to consolidation or packing stations using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to optimize picking efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock checks.
- Meet or exceed established productivity standards for order picking.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and order completion.
- Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, order picking, or similar role is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to pick orders accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology preferred.
- Must possess the physical capacity for tasks including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and standing for long durations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven logistics environment.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
