We are looking for an enthusiastic Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. In this critical role, you will contribute to the seamless flow of goods through our distribution network. Your responsibilities will encompass receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping operations. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment. You'll be part of a team that values productivity and collaboration in the fast-paced world of logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, following strict safety guidelines.
- Stock shelves and ensure proper inventory rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE, including safety vests, gloves, and eye protection.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, applying safe lifting techniques.
- Conduct quality checks on products and packaging.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and operations.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support colleagues in achieving operational goals.
- Understand and adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, promoting a culture of safety.
- Be prepared for the physical demands of the job, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, always using proper lifting methods.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner to meet distribution center targets and customer expectations.
