Narrow Web Flexographic Press Operator (1st Shift)

Position Details
- Full-time
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:00pm (four 10-hour shifts)
- Overtime: As needed

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Print product to job specifications, quality standards, and documented work instructions.
- Pull and verify job ticket requirements (stock, inks, dies, plates, aniloxes, etc.).
- Set up and operate narrow web flexographic press equipment, including:
- Installing plates, dies, anilox rolls, inks, and correct substrate/stock
- Making adjustments to maintain print quality (registration, impression, ink laydown, die cutting, etc.)
- Complete all start-up checks, verify barcode scanability, and obtain start approval.
- Perform and document in-process inspections and checks throughout the run.
- Complete end-of-job verification and ensure product matches start approval.
- Perform routine press care, cleaning, and general maintenance; support preventative maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical/print issues and escalate when needed.
- Provide direction to press assistants as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of flexographic press operating experience (narrow web preferred)
- Ability to set up, operate, and perform preventative maintenance on a flexographic press
- Basic computer skills (email and basic word processing)
- Basic leadership skills to direct press assistant(s)
- Strong basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide) and ability to read a ruler/measurements
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, procedures, and work instructions
- Ability to read/speak English for safety and job requirements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred
- Digital press experience (plus)
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience.
