Lead Server

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Server to join our new team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service in a fine dining environment. As a Lead Server, you will oversee daily service operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and support the team in delivering an outstanding dining experience. This role requires a professional with a passion for hospitality and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the serving team to ensure smooth and efficient service during shifts
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing needs promptly and professionally
• Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Assist with food presentation, serving, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained
• Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties
• Support with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen coordination when necessary
• Train new staff on service protocols, POS usage, and sanitation procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction

Experience

• Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly preferred
• Proven track record with food service roles including serving, bussing, or host/host positions
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours
• Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and guest relations within the food industry
• Experience in leadership roles within hospitality settings is advantageous
• Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy are required
