Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience, including product inquiries and store navigation.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments with precision.
• Provide product demonstrations and upselling suggestions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and properly merchandised for easy access.
• Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and assisting with stock replenishment throughout the store.
• Engage in basic retail math for cash handling, balancing registers at the end of shifts, and reconciling daily sales.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions politely, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining professional phone etiquette when assisting callers.
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring promotional displays are current.
• Assist in product demos when applicable, showcasing features to customers to boost engagement and sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment.
• Uphold safety standards and follow store policies during all interactions with customers and stock management.

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in guiding team members or managing tasks independently.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math will help you succeed in this role.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience conducting product demos or upselling can significantly enhance your effectiveness on the sales floor.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with merchandising techniques will be advantageous. Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
