Position Overview

The OpenText Content Server Workflow Developer will be a key contributor within the Engineering Solutions Unit, supporting the delivery, optimization, and modernization of Engineering Department applications. This role involves architecting, designing, and enhancing OpenText Content Server (OTCS) workflows and related integrations to streamline project delivery, data management, and reporting. 

The selected consultant will work closely with end users, business analysts, and technical teams to develop robust workflow solutions, create custom forms and reports, support help desk operations, and maintain detailed technical documentation. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient engineering operations and advancing digital transformation across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop new workflows in OpenText Content Server (OTCS).
  • Analyze business requirements to propose optimal technical solutions and workarounds when standard OTCS functionality is limited.
  • Administer, support, and enhance existing OTCS workflows.
  • Develop, support, and optimize OTCS workflows using Global Cents – GCI Power Tools.
  • Design and enhance data entry forms using XSL style sheets and HTML5.
  • Leverage OTCS REST APIs to meet business process requirements.
  • Create and maintain end-user and administrator reports using WebReports and LiveReports.
  • Develop and enhance SQL tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
  • Collaborate with end users, business analysts, and technical team members to develop effective workflow solutions.
  • Provide end-user training and ongoing technical support.
  • Draft and maintain technical documentation and support manuals.
  • Support Engineering help desk operations as part of the Applications Support Team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 
    5 years of strong, demonstrated experience

in OpenText Content Server design, development, administration, and workflow support.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- OTCS Workflow development tools
- Global Cents – GCI Power Tools (Document Builder, Workflow, Reports, Views)
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and XSL Style Sheets.
- Strong experience in database development, including tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Required Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated with strong ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and manage shifting priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with source control, task management, and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working with OpenText LiquidOffice.
  • Experience with large public agencies or utility organizations.
