Machine Operator I

PURPOSE/SCOPE:

Perform various machine operations functions.

Job Specifications/Qualifications: (Min. knowledge, skills, and abilities required)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Run machines to established standards.
• Maintain and monitor various machine functions including any coolant, scrap removal, tool changes, adjustments, and clean up.
• Perform all quality control functions.
• Practice and promote safety.
• Sort and inspect parts as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with mechanical equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

• Familiar with blueprint reading.
• Familiar with use of hand tools (screwdriver, Allen wrench, etc.).

REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:

• Regarded as self-motivated and versatile.
• Willing to participate in a team environment.

Physical Job Tasks:

• Lifting or carrying heavy material, tooling, slides, components, parts, and scrap.
• Manual material handling of tooling, parts, scrap, and raw materials.
• Working around forklift traffic and vehicle traffic making sure the product is transported on time.
• Handling coolants, oils, cleaners, and other materials.
• Able to lift up to 38 pounds.
