CNC Programmer/Machinist

JOB DUTIES

• CNC Programming
• CNC Machinist duties
• Operate CNC lathes, mills, set-up
• Create Standard set-up documentation
• Train new hires/Cross-train existing employees
• Responsible for department quality output
• Manage labor reports daily/weekly
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Read engineering documents such as prints, routing, and process instructions
• Program Haas machines
• Proper handling of measurement tools
• Maintain all equipment in good operating condition
• Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy
• Maintain accurate shop floor control system information
• Perform side operations as required while CNC is running e.g. deburring
• Fill out scrap reports
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma/GED required
• Associate degree preferred
• Functional experience in a department (CNC machining/Steel fabrication)
• Train/mentor others
• Lean training preferred
• Strong computer skills preferred
• Programming experience
• Servant leader type supervisory style
